Love Handles & Nature's Hangover Cure

Say Goodbye to Those Love Handles
Summer is here and bathing suit season is upon us.  Yay! I love summer.  But for many people, with summer comes the pressure of having to look good in a swimsuit, and one of the most difficult areas to tone are the love handles.  They aren't called love handles because we "love" having them.  Worry no more!  Tracy Anderson has two exercises that you can do in the comfort of your own home, or anywhere really, that will work those love handles.  Tracy has her own method of exercising which I really like, and she has trained Madonna, Jennifer Aniston, Gwyneth Paltrow, Courtney Cox, Kate Hudson, and many other celebs.  Check out her short video demonstrating these exercises.  Whether you are sitting on the couch watching TV or just bored, bust out a couple of these exercises, and I guarantee you will feel it.  If you can't do the moves initially, just work on it until you can do as many as you are able.

Nature's Hangover Cure
I'm not saying that it's good for you to drink to the point to where you have a hangover, but sometimes it just happens.  For me, I'm a huge lightweight, and I can have two glasses of wine and have a slight headache the next morning.  The popular myth is to cure your hangover by eating greasy food (Whataburger taquitos) and sugary, caffeinated beverages.  Although this may work for some of you, it is definitely not good for you and will only leave your body feeling miserable and weighed down, even though you may  no longer feel hungover.  Basically, it does more harm than good to your body.  Soooo....the question is... how can I get rid of my hangover without consuming a ridiculous amount of calories, fat, and sugar?? The answer: COCONUT WATER!  TIME Magazine featured an article about coconut water and it's ability to provide hangover relief.  Coconut water is also great after a sweaty workout because it replaces those electrolytes that you lost.  It acts like Gatorade, but is 10 times better for you because it doesn't have all those chemicals and sweeteners.  It's from nature! Celebrities like Madonna are starting to invest in coconut water companies because of it's growing popularity.  There are many brands of coconut water.  You can get 100% natural coconut water or flavored coconut water, like mango & pineapple, which will have a little more sugar than the regular flavor.  There are two popular brands: VitaCoCo and Zico.  I get mine at Central Market, and if you can't find any in your grocery store, you can always order a case of it online.

Have a happy Friday!

With Love, Health, and Happiness,
Cami
